As of March 2009, Espíritu de Argentina appointed Mr Silvio Leguia as new General Manager. With this key appointment, Espíritu de Argentina is confident to follow in the footsteps of its highly successful sister brand Espíritu de Chile.
Silvio Leguia has all the attributes for developing Espíritu de Argentina into a globally successful brand: Extensive professional experience, deep knowledge, excellent management skills, and last but not least passion for wine. Silvio’s main task will focus on expanding the present distribution of Espíritu de Argentina and opening new markets. Special emphasis will initially be placed on the Latin American markets.
Argentinean born Silvio Leguia attended St. Paul High School Minnesota, USA and attained a major degree in Marketing from the Universidad de Palermo/Buenos Aires and an MBA from the IAE School of Business/Universidad Austral (Buenos Aires). Silvio Leguia can already look back on a successful career in the food and wine industry, most recently representing Bodegas Felix Lavaque as Export Manager.
He will be based in Mendoza/Argentina in order to fully concentrate on his new challenge and will be reporting to Ernesto Muller, Managing Director Espíritu de Chile Ltd.
